ABOUT US
Where the sea meets Apulian tradition...and it's instantly home!
Our Story Bahari was born from the love and deep bond between Terry and Antonio. The name, which means sea in Swahili, has always been an absolute point of reference in their lives and in their experience in the restaurant world. After more than thirty years spent in Kenya, immersed in the management and creation of unique culinary projects, the currents of life brought Terry and Antonio back to Puglia, their homeland. This return brings with it a wealth of experiences, traditions, and cultural influences gained around the world. Bahari is the result of this journey: a restaurant that combines the authentic traditions of Southern Italy, particularly those of Bari, with gastronomic influences encountered along international routes. Joining them on this journey is Chef Giuseppe Locoselli, a longtime friend and recognized talent, winner of the prestigious Best Emerging Chef award in Monaco in 2024. Leading the kitchen team, the chef brings passion, innovation, and sophistication to the table, transforming every dish into a unique experience. Located just steps from the sea, Bahari is a place where hospitality and flavor blend to offer guests the pleasure of discovery and the magic of sharing. Bahari is a haven for those who love to rediscover familiarity, enjoy exclusive experiences, and be guided by flavors and cultures that speak to the world. We look forward to seeing you.

Loved it so much we came back several times! We discovered this place early in our vacation and ended up coming back a few more times β that's how much we liked it! The food was always fresh and super tasty, and the service was consistently great. Everyone was friendly, and it was easy to communicate in English. Felt really comfortable here every time. Definitely one of our favorite spots during the trip!

We had a wonderful experience at Bahari Restaurant in Bari. The food was not only beautifully presented, but the flavors were absolutely divine β every dish was a delight! The staff (Vittorio, Michele and all others) were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy top-quality cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere!

After an 18 km walk, we wanted a final farewell to Bari before heading to Fasano tomorrow. We landed on Bahari, and what an absolute gem of a find. We were warmly welcomed by Vittorio and team who presented us with a menu which could only be described as a food lover's paradise. As we couldn't choose, we ended up with 'the Journey' menu which gave our tastebuds a wonderful workout. I cannot think of a more creative way to exhibit the splendor fresh seafood can provide. The menu included: 1. Crispy pacchero with salted cod mousse and tomato caviar 2. Sea bass carpaccio with olive oil, amaretto crumble, olives, lime cream, and beetroot 3. Mussel stew with bacon-wrapped prawn and basil sponge 4. Bahari Tagliolino with sundried tomatoes, cuttlefish, toasted almonds, and basil foam 5. Apulian-style panettone with turnip tops, octopus, and ricotta "marzotica" foam and finally, a delicious dessert made from three animal ricotta. Thank you again for a delightful culinary experience - one which we will treasure for a long time to come.
